Eneco Wind UK Ltd acquires Tullo Wind Farm from West Coast Energy

 

Rotterdam, 18 november 2008 - Eneco Wind UK Ltd has acquired Tullo Wind Farm Ltd from West Coast Energy Ltd. Tullo Wind Farm, is an 8 wind turbine project located near Laurencekirk, Aberdeenshire, which is expected to be operational in 2010.  The project will have an installed capacity of approximately 16 Megawatts and will generate sufficient electricity for up to 9,000 homes per year and will potentially displace up to 900,000 tonnes of carbon dioxide over the wind farm’s operating life. West Coast Energy will remain closely involved in the project as it moves forward.

Rob Tate, West Coast Energy’s Managing Director, said: “This project has been developed jointly by West Coast Energy and the landowner, GM. Barclay & Sons of Tullo Farm, Laurencekirk, over a number of years in close consultation with the local community.  It is an important cornerstone in West Coast Energy’s business strategy which will act as a springboard to the company’s further growth.”
